We attend temples hoping to get closer to God, but we don’t even think about what we are actually doing there. ✔️ Prayer service. Why do people pay for prayer services to solve their earthly problems so often and what do they hope to get in return for their money? ✔️ Miraculous icons. Is it true that they have magical properties: they heal, help in business, and stream myrrh? Is it true that the fire comes down from heaven or is it just a well-performed show? ✔️ Worship of relics. The terrible secret of temple-building Jesus taught us that “...the kingdom of God is within you“ (The Bible. Luke 17:21). But we turned away from Him and turned His Teachings into religion, building temples on the outside and practicing magic. It is time to purify religion and recall the true covenants of Jesus.
