I made this router plane

It would be an exaggeration to say that you need to have a router plane. Most things it can do can also be achieved with other tools, although maybe less perfectly. Nevertheless, I have always wanted one. A wooden router plane can be made fairly easily but I wanted to make one from metal. I find it hard to overlook the resemblance between a T-section steel bar and the little Stanley No. 271 plane, so I took the challenge and carved one from piece of construction steel.
