DIY Aquarium Filter Box With Spillway

Water feature and spillway are an integral part of any pond. However, it is rarely used in an aquarium. I have used the concept of filter with water feature from outdoor ponds in an indoor aquarium. This video is a step by step tutorial of how I have built an aquarium filter from a planter box and used dustpan lip for waterfall spillway. Filter can hold at least 1kg of bio media and 2 layers of mechanical filtration. I have used ceramic rings as bio media and fine/coarse foam as mechanical media.
