Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) has foiled an attempted terrorist attack on a military conscription office in the southwestern Russian city of Voronezh, the law enforcement agency said in a statement. The FSB detained a Russian national, who was recruited by militants from a Ukrainian terrorist organization and intended to carry out their instructions to detonate an improvised explosive device (IED) at the city’s military conscription office. “Subsequently, he planned to relocate to Ukraine to take part in military activities against the Russian Armed Forces,” the FSB added.
