How Halo 2 was made in JUST 10 Months (Halo 2 Development)

Halo 2 went through a stressful and short development cycle of just 10 months. After Halo 2 was show of at E3 in 2003 Bungie had to cut back on a lot of ideas and their original vision to make sure that Halo 2 was a working and fun game when it releases. Why was so much content cut from Halo 2? There was over 70 potential levels cut out of Halo 2 during development when Bungie needed to make the game work.
