Watercolor Painting -Beautiful Calla Lily- Wet on Wet Technique-Tutorial Step by Step

Today’s topic is Calla Lily. I bought this flower at Home Depo. Calla lilies are most commonly white, they actually grow in a variety of colors including pick, purple, yellow, and even black. I chose this dark reddish, arizarin crimson color. The most common meaning for calla lilies is purity, holiness, and faithfulness. Calla Lilies are also symbols for rebirth and resurrection, tied to the resurrection of Jesus in part because they bloom around Easter and in part because they are shaped like trumpets which symbolize triumph. I am going to use only 4 colors today. Also, I will apply the Wet on Wet technique mainly. What is the WET on WET technique? That water is still wet on the paper, you can punch in color and drop in paint . So, the color moving and diffusing is really fun and exciting to see and that’s why I love the watercolor painting. I am staring with light color on the first layer. I like to use the splattering color method on the wet paper to emphasize naturalness.
