HOW to CROCHET a WAVY SHELL STITCH Border Edging for a Blanket Shawl or Scarf
You can learn how to Crochet a Wavy Shell Stitch 3D border edging in this video tutorial. Hi I’m Donna Wolfe from Naztazia. This crochet pattern works great on the edge of baby blankets, afghans, shawls, scarves, and more. It is created by making a shell stitch on top of a solid double crochet border. The shells form a 3D wave or ripple effect.
The stitches used in this pattern include the chain, double crochet, and slip stitch. You can use any size or weight yarn you wish. For this sample, I’m using a worsted weight yarn and a size G hook.
