BHA is expected to replace standardised EU, UK, and US shoe sizes. Indian feet are wider than that of Europeans or Americans. So, shoes based on foreign size systems are ill-fitted for Indians. This causes discomfort and health problems, especially for the elderly and people with health concerns like diabetes. BHA expected to give 85% Indians well-fitted footwear. And this will solve a number of problems. For instance, 50% of footwear ordered online is rejected by customers. This problem could be curbed.
