Temperament : Aggressive but not over the top. Full grown adult males will require at least a 4 foot aquarium and if you plan on keeping other dominant cichlids, provide them with a 6 foot tank as a minimum. Males do well with at least 3-4 females to help disperse aggression. Once established, these mbuna a very enjoyable to watch. Varieties from Mpanga and Chilumba look practically identical.
