Postmodernism is Good Actually: Baudrillard vs. Marxism | Plastic Pills
This video is a companion piece to my Society of the Spectacle video () and I wrote it by putting three different chapters of 80s Baudrillard into a blender: “Ecstasy of Communication“ from Ecstasy of Communication (), “Ironic Strategies“ from Fatal Strategies () and “The Implosion of Meaning in the Media“ from Simulacra and Simulation (). They figure as a challenge to humanist social theory, including the Marxist humanism espoused by Guy Debord.
