#polyp at the stomach cardia just below the esophageal varices

A 59-year-old woman presented with a recurrent attack of massive upper GI bleeding. the patient gives a history of the first attack of hematemesis 3 years ago and upper GI endoscopy revealed small polyp at the cardia and varices, band ligation was done for the varices. lab investigations revealed a platelet count of 78000. INR = . the patient underwent an upper digestive endoscopy that revealed the polyp and esophageal varices. band ligation of both the varices and the polyp was done. the patient discharged from the hospital after 1 day.
