Rescuers then used rescue boats to evacuate the flood-trapped residents to safety. In Wuhan, the heavy downpours were accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds. These conditions caused numerous power line disruptions. After nearly two hours of emergency repairs, the power supply was fully restored. The heavy rains also led to a rapid rise in water levels at the Maojihe Reservoir. Considering the possibility of continued heavy rains, the reservoir began releasing floodwaters. The torrential rains have significantly impacted daily life in the affected areas. Local authorities are on high alert to manage the ongoing crisis. Emergency response teams have been deployed across Hubei province. They are working tirelessly to provide assistance to those affected by the floods. Many roads and bridges have been temporarily closed due to flooding. The transportation network has been severely disrupted. Schools in several cities have been closed as a precautionary measure.
