Wearing traditional Mongolian coats at the request of local authorities, we spent our first day in the capital of Ulaanbaatar exploring the country’s ancient customs. In the evening we held a blissful program at our local ISKCON temple for devotees and guests alike. Our initial impression of Mongolia was thus filled with the resonating sound of Buddhist mantras and the sweet singing of Krsna’s holy names.
