My trip to former Commodore and MOS technologies in 2020
E167: in this episode i take a 1.5 hr drive east to visit the infamous 1200 wilson drive, and rittenhouse road MOS facilities, Commodore headquarters and MOS technologies, later Commodore Semiconductor Group (CSG) , in 1976, CBM purchased MOS, valued at around US$12 million
I had pre planned the wilson drive trip. but the inside guide backed out at the last minute - like when i was in the parking lot “thanks to the rona“... So i trek another 18 miles north east to MOS, the building is locked up tight, and in poor state. a walk around in the 103f heat and then a drone around it and over the building breifly. I will be back, maybe even get inside... but i was alone, and didnt want to get hurt then die alone in a abandon building only to be found 30 years later by some kids, thinking i worked there because i had a Commodore shirt on... lol Hope you enjoy this documentary of a piece of Commodore history.
