“I Don’t Give A Hoot” | SNP Lists 24 Gender Identities In Official Guides For Public Bodies

The SNP government has listed 24 different gender identities in official guidance for public bodies. These include terms like “gender fluid,“ for those whose identity regularly changes, and “genderqueer,“ for people who see themselves as neither fully male nor female. Another term, “pangender,“ describes someone who feels their identity includes all possible genders. This guidance comes despite First Minister John Swinney stating just three months ago that he believes there are only two genders: male and female. Tess White, the Scottish Tory shadow equalities minister, criticised the SNP for focusing on these issues instead of addressing the real concerns of the public.
