Understanding the POSIX Open System Reference Model (1990)

This video introduces the IEEE POSIX 1003.0 (ISO/IEC TR 14252) Open System Reference Model. This is a model designed to help identify issues in Application Portability and System Interoperability. This animation was produced in 1990 using an SGI workstation and took about three days to render the images and copy them to two-inch wide video tape.
