Do you remember those prehistoric wood kits as a child? They were pretty clever, with wooden pieces you would push out from a template, and then fit together to create a dinosaurs skeleton. I’ve often wished someone would make an updated version. Well, my wish came true. Wonder Artistic Models is a Chilean company that sells woodkits of prehistoric fauna skeletons you can build out – with a couple of special distinctions. First, the anatomical accuracy they are able to create out of flat pieces of wood is amazing. Second, the artistry of the wood pieces themselves and how it all comes together, is makes for something that is a combination of both art, and science.
