Marta Del Grandi - Shy Heart (Official Video)

’Shy Heart’ is the new single from Marta Del Grandi’s new album, ’Until We Fossilize’, out 5th November. Listen/Pre-Order here: The song was inspired by the news of the forest fire in Australia in early 2020 and the disruption it caused. In particular, it talks about the helplessness of the animals involved in the disaster and wants to pay homage to them. In the video clip, a one-shot directed by the group Ratavöloira, Marta is in the woods at night and interacts with the projection of a big red cat; their silhouettes play with each other. This fantasy narrative seemed to be like the only possible key to address a theme like the bush fire, for how unreal and unbelievable it was. The video sees illustrator Cecilia Valagussa (from Marta’s duo Fossick Project) on the overhead projector, animating the 2D puppet of the cat.
