Sketch and Toon 3D Shapes in After Effects

In this video we’re going to look at how to add a sketch and toon effect to shapes in After Effects. This is less a tutorial a more like a cry for help, no wait, I mean a noble failure. It WORKS, but it’s not the immaculate, elegant After Effects hack I had in mind. I’ve created rigs for a few geometric shapes which are expression controlled to look like they have a C4D style “sketch and toon“ effect applied. The best thing is to watch this video and take a look at the project files and see if this works for you. It can definitely be improved upon and I might revisit it in a future video. ► Download the FREE project files: ► Download my other free project files: The Video Shop Long Play: Chapters: 0:00 - Intro 2:54 - Tube 5:55 - Polystar 7:36 - Shape 8:38 - Quick Tip -Change where the shapes extrude from 9:54 - Quick Tip - Comp naming 10:17 - Quick Tip - Setting up a master project 13:44 - Outro ============================================================= ► Subscribe for more tutorials like this: ============================================================= ► I’ve rated this tutorial 15. Not for complete beginners, although suitable for most learners. Pausing and/or going through the video slowly during sections which are speeded will probably be required. ► If you have any questions just let me know in the comments.
