Mercedes Benz 2024: tests new safety assistance systems
Hey Guys, Here’s How Daimler Truck is Advancing “Vision Zero” and Ensuring Greater Safety for All Road Users with Its Latest Assistance Systems
From July, stricter regulations will come into force in the EU for new trucks and buses.
With its latest safety systems, Daimler Truck sometimes goes well beyond legal requirements.
All road users are affected: according to EU figures, car occupants, cyclists and pedestrians account for the majority of deaths in accidents involving heavy goods vehicles.
New 270-degree sensor fusion technology allows for a wide panoramic view around the vehicle.
The systems are installed on all model series, including the eActros 600, the new generation of the Actros L and buses of the Mercedes-Benz and Setra brands.
Rainer Müller-Finkeldei, Head of Product Development Mercedes-Benz Trucks: “The European General Safety Regulation, which comes into force this year, is an important step on the path to accident-free driving – our “Vision Zero “.
