Police Quest II (1989) PC-9801 Complete Playthrough - NintendoComplete

A beginning to end playthrough of Sierra Online Japan’s 1989 PC-9801 game, Police Quest II. This playthrough was done in English mode, with Japanese subtitles accompanying all of the English text. A really odd and pretty obscure port of the IBM PC-compatible game Sierra released in the States in 1988. It’s virtually identical to the US version of the game, but the graphics have been “Japanified,“ with most of the characters having big eyes and neon colored hair, and the game is now playable in Japanese. The sound is a little different: the MT-32 soundtrack heard here is the same, but the sound that plays when getting points has been changed. The PC-98’s FM synth (not featured in this video) also sounds quite a bit different from the Adlib version. The game wasn’t played with the graphics driver that originally came loaded on the PQ2 disks. The original driver only allowed for 8-color high resolution graphics, so I copied the 16-color driver from another Sierra PC98 game, The Castle of Dr. Brain, renamed i
