5 Animals Kung Fu

I’ve always disliked shooting action with a gimbal. Tried it twice and it just ate up so much time getting the right shots and movements. Although, I was a bit unfair since I never actually operated it myself. And then I worked with Chris Cowan, who showed me the way xD. I picked up a gimbal and decided to give it a try myself. So this short is more of a test to see if I could accomplish the movement and shots that I would normally accomplish with tripod/dolly set up. We spent 2 half days and 1 pick up day to create this little action short. My assessment; Tripod/dolly is easier to shoot with but takes longer to set up and can’t get certain shots a gimbal could. Gimbal, on the other hand, is quicker and at times smoother, but it still doesn’t give me the snappy reaction a traditional set up would.
