Kazan - In the women’s 3,000 metre hurdles (steeplechase) the London Olympic champion Yulia Zaripova took the first place, getting ahead of Svitlana Shmidt, the participant from Ukraine, by 12 seconds. Gulcan Mingir from Turkey finished third.
