CRIS is the Court Registry Investment System is an interest-bearing cash management tool administered by the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts that provides Clerks with an easy, efficient and safe way to comply with federal requirements concerning the handling of Court Registry Funds. CUSIP derives from the Committee on Uniform Security Identification Procedures. CUSIP is a nine-digit numeric code that identifies a North American financial security for the purposes of facilitating clearing and settlement of trades. A CUSIP number identifies most financial instruments, including: stocks of all registered U.S. and Canadian companies, commercial paper, and U.S. government and municipal bonds.
