Zemire et Azor

Sir Thomas Beecham conducts the Royal Philharmonic in his arrangement of a lovely air de ballet from Grétry’s Zémire et Azor. The costume designs for an 1824 production are by Alexandre-Évariste Fragonard and the scenery designs by Pierre-Luc-Charles Cicéri one of the great stage designers of the period.
