Airbus’ Sharklets: Ready for retrofit

Airbus brought together customers and maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) organisations to finalise its Sharklet retrofit solution for in-service A320ceo (current engine option) Family jetliners using its “embodiment demonstrator” aircraft. This full-scale demonstrator allowed Airbus to optimise the installation sequence as well as perform fuel and wing-alignment certification tests.
