1812: the unknown Borodino

The Battle of Borodino is the largest battle of the Patriotic War of 1812 between the Russian army under the command of General Mikhail Golenishchev-Kutuzov of Infantry and the French army under Emperor Napoleon I Bonaparte. The military statistics back then considered that every tenth was to die in a battle. Here, there were 100 thousand dead: every fourth. In this regard, neither Stalingrad nor Pearl Harbor, nor any battle of the future can be compared to the Borodino: this was the blood thirstiest one-day battle in human history. In this episode, you will see the unknown Borodino. To do that, we’ll settle on the Borodino field, we’ll dress up in the clothes of that era, both in the civil and the military uniforms. And actor Andrey Merzlikin will gather a collection of little-known diary entries made by the people who were personally on the battlefield on the day of the Battle. #Russianmilitarypower #Russianmilitary #military #CombatApproved #Zvezdatv #army #russianarmy #CombatApproved #Zvezdatv #
