Bodycam Shows Michigan Deputy Shooting Man Armed With Knife At Gas Station

* (Disclaimer: This video content is intended for educational and informational purposes only) * Galesburg, Michigan — The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office released body camera footage of an officer-involved shooting that left a Galesburg man dead early Monday morning. At approximately 2:45 am, Oct. 4, the Kalamazoo County Consolidated Dispatch Center received a 911 call from the Shell gas station on 35th street in Galesburg, Michigan. The caller advised dispatchers there was an emergency and requested the police. No other information was given. A Kalamazoo County Deputy immediately arrived on scene and was confronted by R.V. Johnson, 22 with a knife. Johnson lunged at the deputy and the deputy fired his weapon striking the suspect. Galesburg and Charleston fire/rescue arrived on scene and gave lifesaving efforts.
