First time trying Caran D’Ache Fibralo water soluble pens | swatching and coloring in Ken Matsuda

Hello everyone, welcome to my coloring channel for adults. Hi to all my recent subscribers, I’m grateful to have you here. I colour for for fun and art therapy. I’m still learning. Today I am using the Caran D’Ache Fibralo water-soluble pens for the first time. To be honest I had not heard about these pens before. I found them in the sale recently, so they were an impulse buy. I purchase all my own art supplies and this channel is not monetized. (I do not earn money from views). In the video I unwrap, swatch and color in Ken Matsuda’s coloring book. This video has some chatty sections. Some segments are sped up but most is in real time. You can slow the speed down if you prefer. Please note I used a lot of water to swatch the pens, so they are shown in a very dilute form. For a more vibrant result use less water to obtain a stronger value. Or swatch direct to paper.... but this isn’t so melty, you may need more water and friction from the brush can pill the paper. You may have pen lines still showing. To add more depth, color and value let it dry and go back over with a stronger saturation. I swatched onto watercolor paper 300gsm, 140 lb cold press Thank you to Mr Bee for the neat tile palette idea *;) Oh and I show briefly the importance of swatching, one of the pen barrel colors is totally different from the ink. I hope to try more blending colors in the future. 00:00 Introduction and unwrapping the Fibralo pens - chatty 03:05 Swatching the Fibralo pens - sped up 09:08 Chat about the swatched colors, pens & the palette, swatching direct to paper 11:02 real time coloring in Ken Matsuda’s collection coloring book with minimal water 30:30 Fibralo color swatch numbers, and thoughts, alternatives, outro Where to find the water soluble pens (not affliated) =sr_1_2?crid=2J8JXDDMYZBUA&dib=&dib_tag=se&keywords=caran d’ache fibralo&qid=1721396402&sprefix=caran dache fibralo,aps,87&sr=8-2 =sr_1_16?dib=&dib_tag=se&keywords=caran+d’ache+fibralo+water+soluble+pens&qid=1721401381&sr=8-16&th=1 Fibralo come in 10, 24 and 30 sets.
