Digital Art Process - The Empress - Process Part 1

This artwork begun as figure drawing practice, but I’ve decided to develop it into ’The Empress’, one of the Major Arcana Tarot cards. ’The Empress’ symbolises power, beauty and fertility amongst other things. She wears a crown of stars, holds a sceptre and sits on a throne. The Scepter is representative of her power over life, her crown has twelve stars representing her dominance over the year, and her throne is in the midst of a field of grain, representative of her dominion over growing things. These elements will be added in future video clips! This video features the construction of a figure paying close attention to tone and light.
