Following a train journey from Dublin to Galway, I cycled my Brompton bike from Galway City to Rossaveel to catch the boat over to Inis Meáin. As the boat was leaving at 10:30am, I stayed overnight with a friend in Furbo before continuing to Rossaveel the next morning. I wild camped on Inis Meáin at Cathaoir Synge and found a spot with good shelter from the wind and amazing views. I spent from 3:30pm hiding out in the tent from the rain on the first day and then had the following day to explore the rest of the island. My return boat journey left the island at 4:30pm allowing me decent time to explore. This trip was done in November whereas Summer hours would have provided more quality time to explore.
