The Jack The Ripper Murder Sites Then And Now.

The Jack the Ripper murder sites have undergone an awful lot of change in the 133 years since the atrocities occurred, and picturing them as they were in 1888 can be difficult. So I have created a video tour that takes you around the five sites where the murders of Mary Nichols, Annie Chapman, Elizabeth Stride, Catherine Eddowes and Mary Kelly took place. You will see the sites as they are in 2021 and will be able to compare them as they are today with how they appeared at various times in their pasts, including how they were in the late 19th century at the time of the Whitechapel murders. The tour begins with a visit to Durward Street, which was formally Buck’s Row, which was where the 1st victim, Mary Nichols, was murdered in the early hours of Friday the 31st of October, 1888. It is currently the scene of the development of the Crossrail Whitechapel Station. The film will show you what is happening there today, and then take you back through the various stages of its history to that long
