1968 Dodge Charger R/T Stock #7518 Gateway Classic Cars St. Louis Showroom

For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1968 Dodge Charger R/T. This beautiful Charger started life out as a 440 4-speed car and is still equipped with the original 4-speed and Dana rear end. Power comes from a fire breathing Ray Barton 528 Hemi crate engine producing 650 horsepower! The Hemi is equipped with aluminum heads and intake with a single four-barrel carburetor feeding fuel. The engine is also fitted with a March Serpentine belt system and a 3-inch TTI exhaust system. This giant Hemi sits a little taller than the old 440. To clear the hood, some serious custom work was performed to the original steel hood. There are around 130-man hours in the hood alone! The builder started with a stock steel hood, relocated the recessed areas further out for the Duster scoop to fit between them. What a magnificent job! If you’ve ever restored a black car, you know how much time and patience it takes to get it right. The underside is also painted in a high gloss black and looks ju
