Social Media & Mental Health | Paritosh Joshi | TEDxCWRU

Social media has dominated our lives since its introduction to mainstream society in the mid-2000s. While it has led to many benefits, it has been at the origin of many severe mental health issues. This talk explores how social media has contributed to changes in societal mental health, and how each person can take control of their social media usage on various platforms to yield more beneficial results for themselves as well as others. Paritosh Joshi is a Research Assistant at the Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine, and graduated from Case Western Reserve University in Spring 2020 with degrees in Psychology and Sociology. He hopes to eventually obtain his PhD in Clinical Psychology! This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at
