Primitive Stone Saw for Cutting Branches (episode 24)

One of the earliest primitive technologies by humans was the use of stone to make simple but effective survival tools. Stone can be used to make cutting blades, weapons, shelters and even cups and bowls. The basic bushcraft technique for shaping a stone is flintknapping. In this video I find a type of stone that I believe is rhyolite. Rhyolite was used by native people to make spear points and arrowheads. It is rather easy to shape by flintknapping. I need to cut some branches for construction of my new hut so I test these stone blades on a medium-sized juniper branch to see how well they perform.
