In a close and honest meeting between musicians from Total Hip Replacement together with Ghanaian highlife/reggae musicians, a collaboration band was formed in Ghana during the winter of 2021. The idea was to combine two worlds and cultures and the first single is a groovy genre-bending highlife/reggae track, that merge the best from Kwame Yeboah distinct highlife revival style and Total Hip Replacement´s blend of soulful reggae. Written and recorded in the same session, “Smoke and Mirrors” is teeming with energy and curiosity with driving drums, stabby horns and playful guitars. “Smoke and Mirrors” is released the 21/01/22 on Z Production and marks the coming of a full Ghana/Denmark collaboration album in April 2022!
