The Ukrainian veteran will fill the in-game leader role in the squad, which had been left vacant following Kirill “Boombl4“ Mikhailov’s transfer to Na`Vi. For Edward, this will be his first change of scenery since 2013, when he returned to Natus Vincere after playing for the Astana Dragons for approximately four months. During his time with Na`Vi, he picked up several title wins, most notably at ESL One New York 2016 and ESL One Cologne 2018, and reached the grand final at three different Majors. In Winstrike, the 31-year-old will reunite with his compatriot and former DTS teammate Ivan “Johnta“ Shevtsov, who was appointed as team coach only last week. Boombl4 had been on Winstrike’s books since June 2018, when he and the rest of his Quantum Bellator Fire squad switched organisations. Under the new name, he attended two Majors, FACEIT Major London and IEM Katowice, the latter of which saw the team crash out of the tournament in the New Challengers Stage. “Today is a very hard day for us - we are saying goodbye to a player who had been representing Winstrike since the very first day of the organisation,“ Winstrike head manager Adalyat Mamedov said in a statement. “We understand that this was a chance for him to prove himself in one of the best teams in the world and we did not want to deny this opportunity. “Our team is joined by Edward on loan. We hope we can prove ourselves at the upcoming Minors and Majors.“ Edward is expected to make his first appearance for Winstrike on Thursday as the team will take on Tricked in UCC Summer Smash - a match that they will be using as preparation for the closed qualifier for the CIS Minor, kicking off June 8. Ioann “Edward“ Sukhariev (born December 28, 1987) is a Ukrainian professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and former Counter-Strike 1.6 player who currently plays for Winstrike Team. Edward is one of the most experienced players on the Counter-Strike scene. He has more than 10 ASUS Cup wins secured under his belt, an absolute record for the CIS region. In the game, Edward plays the role of an entry fragger and has his very own and unique playstyle which allows him to deliver and capitalize consistently in the crucial round. With these changes, Winstrike now have: Vladyslav “bondik“ Nechyporchuk David “n0rb3r7“ Danielyan Aurimas “Kvik“ Kvakšys Aleksey “El1an“ Gusev Ioann “Edward“ Sukhariev (loan) Ivan “Johnta“ Shevtsov (coach) Please, Like and subscribe on our channel, thanks for watching ! twitter:
