Chocolate and Yoga: Toning and Flexibility, From Headstand drop back to Backbend

Before starting the yoga practice, if we feel a little bit hungry, a small piece of dark chocolate or a handful of dried nuts and fruit would help, as it is best not to consume a large meal within 2 to 3 hours prior to the practice. 1. Start with 6 rounds of Sun Salutation to warm up. 2. From Child Pose slowly come up to Headstand. 3. When balance is established, arch the back and bring legs over behind the head. 4. Drop the feet on the floor, breathe deeply Headstand has many benefits, it tones up the whole body, improves circulation and concentration of the mind, also it is a good preparation for meditation practice. Backbend strengthens the abdominal and lower back muscles and make the spine suppler.
