The group commander decided to organize an ambush at the enemy firing point. A few hours later, a group of Ukrainian Armed Forces infantry advanced towards the ATGM, covered with a camouflage net. Already on the approach to the enemy position, the scouts opened fire on the enemy. As a result, more than 10 militants were killed by the Fagot anti-tank missile system and the fire of a sniper pair.
