11 of February “Tirana” and “Kukesi” played domestic league match in Tirana. Another matchday finished with a giant scandal, where teams were accused in match-fixing. Kukesi, leader of Albanian Super league, lost first half 0:1, but after the break made a comeback to 2:1. Albanian fans community watched that game very attentively, because of lot of rumors. Rumors predicted that Kukesi will win no doubts, because 10 days before Kukesi lost to Tirana in the first quarterfinal game of National Cup. Fans considered that teams helping each other in the different tournaments. It seems like far-fetched, but not for Albanian media. Biggest Sports newspaper “Panorama Sport” wrote the headline “Theatre in Tirana. Kukesi won while walking”. “Sport Ekspres”, the second biggest newspaper in Albania, called the match as “prostitution by Tirana” TV pundits also put a lot of critics talking about this match. Even Albanian Parliament member, Erion Brace, declared that this was a shame and match was fixed.
