A total eclipse of the moon will take place on Sunday, January 20. The broadcast will begin shortly before the moon rises at Griffith Observatory, around 5:10. The penumbral eclipse beings at 6:36 pm. We will continue to broadcast until the end of the penumbral eclipse at 11:48 pm.
The eclipse will be visible anywhere from southern California. No special equipment is required and it is completely safe to view.
