There were six different goalscorers in the 6-0 (2-0) victory. Led for the first time by new BVB captain Emre Can, the BVB first team took to the pitch at Snapdragon Stadium. Borussia Dortmund beat USL Championship side San Diego Loyal 6-0 thanks to goals by Julien Duranville (2’), Youssoufa Moukoko (27’), Marco Reus (59’), Thomas Meunier (62’), Sébastien Haller (68’), and Paul-Philipp Besong (89’). Injured Giovanni Reyna also put in an appearance for the fans in his home country and was happy to sign autographs and take selfies with fans even before kick-off.
