Seo Taiji feat. BTS - Classroom Idea live @ SEOTAIJI 25 TIME : TRAVELER 2017 [ENG SUB] [Full HD]
π In 2017, BTS performed at the 25th-anniversary concert for Seo Taiji, a revolutionary Korean music legend from the 90β²s who was known for openly criticizing the Korean education system (at that time, school days for teenagers went from 7 am to 9 pm daily). BTS, especially in their earlier years, also openly criticized the Korean education system (in contrast to other K-Pop groups, who desperately avoid politics at all costs). The intense, high-stress Korean education system is viewed as being one of the many factors behind the high suicide rate in youths in South Korea.
Seo Taijiβs most famous song, βClassroom Idea,β is known for being particularly anti-the oppressive Korean school system. BTS and Seo Taiji performed the song together at the anniversary concert, wearing Seo Taijiβs original performance outfits, meant to look like rebels/revolutionaries. They also waved flags featuring Seo Taijiβs original anti-Korean school system symbol. The event was seen as Seo Taiji passing on his flag/symbol to BTS, the next generation of young revolutionary socially-conscious Korean artists.
BTS served as backup vocalists and dancers for eight songs of the concert, replacing Yang Hyun Suk and Lee Juno as Seoβs Boys for the night. During this song, Suga raps a verse from BTSβs song βNo More Dreamβ. A song that carries the same message as βClassroom Ideaβ.
Seo Taiji & Boys was a South Korean boy band during the years 1992-1996. They were very successful and they changed the South Korean music industry by pioneering the use of rap in Korean popular music and utilizing social critique, despite pressure from ethics and censorship committees. The band was also the first to turn dance into a dominant feature in performance by including breakdancing routines.

π My goal is to deliver English subtitles that are correctly translated, easy to read and understand, whilst not being an element that disturbs or irritates you.
But I cannot make the rappers rap slowly ;)
π Regardless of the translation source for the subtitle, I also search for information about the meaning of the song and the lyrics. I fix errors, sync the subtitles to the video and replace words or sentences that need a better translation to make it easier to understand and/or follow the subtitles.
π I work on creating subtitles for BTS videos so that we can understand the songs better, as the lyrics are a big part of BTS music. I know a subtitle, as an option to turn on, will make people enjoy BTS more. I do not do it in an attempt to make money. Any advertising revenue is paid to the copyright holder, usually HYBE (Big Hit Entertainment), and not to me.
