James Whistler’s “Peacock Room“ at the Freer Gallery of Art, Washington D.C.. On August 18, 2011 the Freer Gallery of Art opened the shutters to James Whistler’s “Peacock Room“, the first time the public could see the room in natural light as well as Freer’s original 1908 collection of over 250 ceramics for the exhibition.
