D.B. Cooper

On November 24 1971, a white male hijacked a plane and extorted $200,000 from the airline. The man used the alias Dan Cooper. The media mistakenly reported the name D.B. Cooper as the name of the hijacker. The Cooper case remains the only unsolved air hijacking in American history.
