Veksler Trio

This, the only piece of music from the two-hour concert program of our “Trio Veksler“, recorded in 1968, was accidentally saved from being destroyed by the Soviet authorities, because … they used it as an advertisement clip for the All-union Exhibition of Agricultural Products in Moscow. Everything else, including classical pieces re-arranged by us for the trio; the music of the nations of the world; Music by my brother Boris Veksler, who was the face of the accordion players in the USSR at the time, and whose music for accordion became classical. All the recordings we made for the radio and TV, were destroyed after our departure from the USSR, since we were considered the “traitors of a homeland“ by the Soviets. This was the ideology of that totalitarian country where everything, including musicians and their music, belonged to the State.
