Today I’m showing you how to make bubble wands. The bubble wands are bubble bars (solid bubble bath) that’s shaped like wands! You can make any shape you want! The wands are really fun to play with. Plus, they’re great at making bubble baths.
RECIPE: 1/2 cup baking soda, 1/2 cup sodium lauryl sulfoacetate (or sodium lauryl sulfate or sodium cocoyl isethionate), 1/8 cup cream of tartar, 20 milliliters fragrance oil, 20 milliliters liquid surfactant (cocamidopropyl betaine), 20 milliliters glycerin, & 5 milliliters polysorbate 80.
You’ll need 65 milliliters of liquid; wet ingredients
...are up to you! The surfactant enhances the bubbles’ performance, glycerin keeps the dough moist & workable for longer, & the emulsifier allows fragrance to mix with water. I added pink food coloring for a bright pink color & mica for sparkle. Mix wet/dry separately. Add wet to dry & mix. Knead dough until it pulls together. Form a ball. *If dough is too wetShow more
