Contemporary Performance Work by Jessica Wilson
This double DVD features seven performances. These works are defined by their rich visual narratives and seamless combination of artforms including puppetry, physical performance and projected image. Jessica Wilson is a director and producer of non-text based theatre. She was Artistic Director of Terrapin Theatre between 1999 and 2004 and now works freelance out of Victoria. Her work can be divided into three theatrical forms; large-scale spectacle theatre, in-theatre works for young audiences, and conceptual community cultural development projects. For each new production, a distinctive team of artists is brought together in a collaborative process that focuses on the development of strong visual narratives.

A contemporary moral tale, it draws on the traditional structure of fables to raise questions about the remarkable futures and modern day miracles promised by science. 58 mins.
