Ukraine “Downs Drones-Missiles”, China Downplays Wagner Mutiny, Russian Held For Drone Aid To Kyiv

Ukraine said that its forces shot down seven Shahed drones and 2 Kalibr cruise missiles on June 26 overnight. Russia used three Kalibr cruise missiles and eight Iranian-made Shahed drones to attack Ukraine overnight, local authorities said. The missiles were fired from the Black Sea, while the kamikaze drones were launched from the Azov Sea, according to Kyiv’s Air Force. According to Ukraine’s military spokesperson Natalia Humeniuk, the two missiles and several drones were destroyed over Odesa. Kyiv said its air defence units also destroyed four drones of an unknown type launched by Russia from the northern direction. Meanwhile, Ukraine has claimed that it reclaimed some 130 square kilometres of land along the southern frontline. Families of Wagner leaders were threatened by Russia before Prigozhin called off his mutiny, UK’s Telegraph reported.
