“Like A Thief In The Night…” Ukraine Slams Putin’s Mariupol Visit, Russia Bombards Zaporizhia

Ukraine’s General Staff said that Russian forces are focused on trying to capture the entirety of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts. Ukraine said that Russian troops launched 11 missile attacks, four of which were targeted at civilian infrastructure in Zaporizhzhia. Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that his country has hypersonic weapons but it doesn’t use them. Putin’s comment comes weeks after Ukraine said that Russia used six hypersonic weapons in its missile barrage on March 9. Ukraine’s military said its forces are keeping Russian units at bay from attacking their supply lines to Bakhmut. Ukrainian Commander Oleksandr Syrskyi said Russia has used all its forces in Bakhmut in an effort to completely surround the city. Ukraine’s Defence Ministry said that Putin’s trip to Mariupol took place in the night “as it befits a thief”.
